I’m getting back into weaving! It’s a medium that I find particularly meditative. I made this piece a few days ago and hung it below a lovely original print by my friend Megan. I haven’t been on Facebook or Instagram for over a week – for the good of my mental health, I’m planning to stay away for quite awhile – so I’m trying to fill my days with more positive things. Here’s hoping this motivation lasts! Depression is a bitch.

Do no harm

I’ve seen this mantra “Do no harm, but take no shit” frequently floating around the interwebs. Last night, I painted this text (freehand) on a National Geographic photo of Havasu Falls. Now it’s hanging by my computer as a reminder that fits along nicely with my theme to 2017: Give Less Fucks.

Cheers! ūüôā

Last Saturday, I met up with some fellow bleeding-heart liberals to make positive, accepting flyers to put up around Salt Lake, hoping to combat all the negative post-election feelings. ¬†I want to get back into embroidery so here’s my stitched version I made yesterday of one of those flyers.

For what it’s worth, I believe no act of kindness¬†is in vain. ¬†Don’t become cynical. ¬†Keep on fighting. ¬†Stand up for what you believe in. ¬†Don’t let the bastards get you down. ¬†‚̧
